I looked out of my window sill and hated what I saw.
We live with broken dreams, clipped wings, and gory scenes
And we clap along with everyone else.
And we'll fill our lives
With darkened skies
Instead of doing something useful for a change
Maybe we really melted our brains
with TV screens and radio waves.
And children scream but mothers aren't there.
People do as people will
sitting on a window sill
gazing outside of their cage
But I guess that's all okay
as long as we get a holiday
Celebrating the people who made us this way.
The spider and cockroach have gained control.
Who cares about your soul.
Right and wrong are thrown out on the streets
Celebrities have gone down hill
Humpty dumpty sat on our window sill
and had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
didn't know how to write the end to a sad song
So we threw our arms up into the sky
Just to see if we could fly
How will you know if you don't try
We stood upon our window sill
And leapt
We live with broken dreams, clipped wings, and gory scenes
And we clap along with everyone else.
And we'll fill our lives
With darkened skies
Instead of doing something useful for a change
Maybe we really melted our brains
with TV screens and radio waves.

This is a song I wrote a while ago and I thought it would go really well with the Hunger Games. It doesn't really have a chorus or even rhyme much, but I hope you like.
